OCR: FLASH METERING flash Anyone taking a lot of flash pictures should have a flash subject Meter. Such meters are capable of evaluating the brief burst of light from a flashgun and indicating the correct aperture for exposure. Camera shutter speed must be the correct synch camera Me ter speed or slower - slower is OK and can be used to allow parts of the picture NOT illuminated by the flash to record. Most flash meters have a white diffuser and are designed to be placed at the subject position and pointed back at the CAMERA. The diffuser MUST be as near the subject position as possible as it is flash to subject position that determines correct exposure. The Meter is switched on, and the flash fired, either directly or using a link lead from the Meter. The Meter will indicate the correct aperture result is reliable. Only the main flash should be evaluated if there are More and the than one in the set up. MOUSE KEY TO RETURN
